Assessment Tools for District of Columbia

The District of Columbia is currently focusing on expanding the citywide Main Street program and Wander Group is there to help. Team members are currently developing assessment tools to determine the needs, interest and capacity of local communities who seek targeted assistance in commercial revitalization. To date, reports have addressed key revitalization factors that determine the potential for revitalization. This can include: home ownership, institutional partnerships; organizational capacity; local leadership; existing assets, and many other factors. In addition, DC Main Streets staff has been trained on surveying techniques and how to use the assessments to target resources. Our reports provide a clear perspective on how these communities can build a better business environment which benefits everyone!
