Sine’s Five and Dime- Quakertown, PAPennsyl-Jersey: Changing Colors

November began with a driving tour and work assignments for communities in eastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey. We visited traditional town centers that included Gettysburg, Oxford, Ambler and West Chester- an enjoyable way to learn about traditional business districts taking different approaches to commercial revitalization. In total, Wander Group completed visual assessments of a dozen communities, including: York and Lancaster; Ephrata and Kutztown; Emmaus and Phoenixville; Columbia and Kennett Square- thanks to all for your hospitality!

Harold Johnson and the Boonton Board of Directors Board members were up bright and early in Boonton, New Jersey on Sunday, November 4th as it was time for their Annual Work Plan Retreat for 2008. Facilitated by Wander Group, four committees prioritized their work, giving consideration to their organizational and financial capacity. And just 20 miles away, the Caldwell Downtown Alliance was putting the final touches on its “Main Street New Jersey” application. With the coordination of Lead Consultant Tom Litke, the Alliance is now prepared to become a Main Street Partner. Our team was privileged to work with two groups at different life cycles- one entering their fifth year and another at the beginning stages; congratulations to both!
