On May 24th, the Downtown DC Businesss Improvement District (www.downtowndc.org) notified reSTORE DC that their team consisting of Wander Group, Nelson Architects and Cultural Development Corporation received the coveted Momentum Award. This award recognizes "outstanding individual and organizational achievement in Downtown DC." Wander Group served as the Project Manager for the restoration of the Chinatown building facades along the 600 block of H Street, NW, and this award specifically goes to Wander Group's "contribution to making downtown vibrant, inviting and beautiful." Marc Pachter, director of the National Portrait Gallery, and Dr. Betsy Broun, director of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, were the featured speakers at the Downtown BID's Annual Momentum Awards Luncheon on Monday, June 12.
